Question by Bill N: What is a decent paying job that calls for lots of travel?
My life ambition is to travel the US or world while pursuing a meaningful career. My talents lie in working with people, writing, extremely positive minded, good business sense, motivational speaking, etc. I have previously attempted home base business and ended up overextending myself. I have a knack for seeing the “big picture” of business more than specific details.

All thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.

Travel is very personal. For me, the best travel place in the world is Orient Beach on St. Martin island, French West Indies. I love the tropical temperatures, beautiful turquoise water, soft white sand beaches, and gourmet french cuisine.

I want to travel to Europe again sometime next year. I was thinking about going to Barcelona for a few days. Then Italy and then Paris. And possibly travel even more…….

I’ve never stayed in a hostel, do you recommend it?

Best answer:

Answer by karl0528
Depends on what you want to do when you get there. Paris is expensive so be prepared. I visited Morocco and Paris last summer and brought 3,000.00 US dollars in cash with me and ended up coming back with about 1,100 because I stayed with family often. Check the conversion rates before you go so you know where you stand with that. Never stayed in a hostel but depending on how flexible you are you might be able to find decent hotels at cheaper rates you just have to look for the deals.

Question by LauraLee: How much commission should I pay my travel agent?
What percentage of your travel cost (including flight and accommodation) should be paid to a travel agent who has arranged all of this for you? What is the industry standard?

Best answer:

Travel agents are paid by the hotels, cruise lines, etc., and not by their clients. As a thank you, you can send a bottle of wine or plant for the office if you like, but nothing is expected.

For a travel and tourism project, I need to make a brochure for Thailand. I currently have the basics, like the history, the customs and the reasons why people travel there. So, I have the inside of it full.

What would you think of an American guy who decided to travel to and then live in Rio de Janeiro?

Question by Jane: What would you think of an American guy who decided to travel to and then live in Rio de Janeiro?
He likes lots of casual sex with tan women with huge asses? Or could it just be the casual party lifestyle, the beautiful beaches, etc….? Is this guy worth hoping he will come back? I am going to travel and visit him soon, but I shouldn’t get my hopes up right?

Best answer:

Answer by Dave
Without knowing him I would describe him as ambitious, thinking outside the box and adventurous. Not everyone moving or visiting an South American country is a ordinary whore monger. I’ve lived 3 times 6 months straight in Thailand, going back and forth to many Asian destinations including Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Philippines without liking having lots of casual sex with tiny Asian women with small breasts. I’m giving this example Asia has the same prejudgments and assumptions as South America.

Question by x: What are some jobs that involve world travel?
I hate staying in the same place for long periods of time. I love to travel, be in different places all the time. My parents have a friend and he’s had a job in which he never has time for travel, he’s lived in the same place for decades, and I’d honestly hate that.

Can you use air miles with a travel agent?

Question by callah-kisser: Can you use air miles with a travel agent?
We are planning our honeymoon to a few places, one being Hawaii, and we are going through a travel agent. We have air miles through Hawaiian Air, can our travel agent use them when planning our trip? Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Michele G
You are the only one who can give permission for the travel miles to be accessed. It would be necessary to give the agent your information, however, it would be up to her/him whether they would be willing to take care of that part of the trip for you. I have been a travel agent for more than 20 years. I don’t believe in service fees and there are many time I take care of details that I do for free – not all agents are like me.

Hope this answer help – Good luck and congratulations!!!
