Myself and 7 other friends have decided we are going to take a trip to Oasis resort in Cancun for 7 days in spring break. Getting the cheapest airfare and having 4 to a room would cost us a little more than 0 a person.

Say If I were to use a travel agent how would this benefit me and would it make the price lower?

Travel agents can often get better rates for transportation and lodging.
Travel agents can get all of your visas; this is a big deal if you will be going through several countries.
Travel agents may have information not readily available to the general public about places with a bad reputation, or other issues that might make one want to make an alternate plans.
